My Story

Hey, I'm William, the founder of Notionbase. After earning a double degree in engineering, I was on track for a promising career—but I chose a different path.

This page will give you insight into how and why I became a certified Notion expert and created Notionbase, the platform where I share my expertise to help you build an organized life without feeling overwhelmed.

The beginning

I wasn’t always an entrepreneur. My journey started in the world of engineering, where I spent years studying and working, only to realize that it wasn’t the life I truly wanted. I craved freedom—freedom of time, location, and purpose.

The transition

That’s when I took the leap into online business, initially experimenting with e-commerce, and became more and more interested in personal growth and organization. I was also attending many conferences and seminars on entrepreneurship, where I had to learn everything from scratch.

The accomplishment

I finally discovered my real purpose: helping people bring order and clarity to their lives. I started living as a digital nomad around the world in the pursuit of this mission.

Throughout all this time, Notion has been the key to help me organize my notes and different areas of life digitally, especially while traveling. Today, I’ve decided to share my templates and insights so that others can make the most of Notion and bring more order to their lives too.

Why Notionbase?

I built Notionbase to solve a problem I personally faced: scattered notes, disorganized systems, and an overwhelming amount of information with no structure. I wanted a simple yet powerful system that anyone could use to get their life together without spending hours managing it..

The name Notionbase comes from multiple inspirations:

• Databases – The core feature of Notion and a key element in my templates.

• Basic/Essential/Minimalist – Keeping things simple and efficient.

• A Base – Like a headquarters, a place to gather and organize everything.

• Mastering the Basics – An expert is someone who has perfected the fundamentals, and Notionbase helps you build a strong foundation.
